Reading With A Knife / Lesen mit dem Messer is a meticulously designed, bilingual (German/English) artist’s book that uniquely brings together the artistic practice of Jochen Höller. The publication comprises approximately 400 pages and is released as a limited, numbered, and signed edition of 350 copies.

Each book is individually hand-worked by the artist using his long-developed “cut-up” method—where books, texts, and images are dissected, rearranged, and reassembled—turning every single copy into a one-of-a-kind artwork. The volume features an extensive selection of images spanning Höller’s artistic production over the past 25 years.

In addition, an exclusive special edition will be available for the first 10 copies + 2 artist proofs, consisting of the book accompanied by an original collage artwork.
